The following page creates guidelines for the systematic names of articles.
Contents
Titles
Capitalization
The search engine is case-sensitive. Like in normal English usage, all proper nouns should be capitalized.
- Capitalize all theorems, lemmas, postulates, axioms, laws, formulas, etc.
- Nothing else but proper nouns should be capitalized.
- If in doubt, contact a sysop.

Nouns
Generally, nouns should be used. For example, bisection should be used instead of bisect.
Singular nouns
Plural nouns should be avoided. A convention for categories is undecided.
Contests
- Main article: AoPS Wiki:Contest Problems Standards
For contest pages, the year should go before the contest name. A compilation of all of the problems should be located at YYYY Contest Problems. All of the solutions go to subpages at YYYY Contest Problems/Problem #. The answer key goes to YYYY Contest Answer Key.
Sections
Every non-trivial word in a section header should be capitalized without exception, like the title of a book.
Alphabetization
Pages can be alphabetized in categories. Mathematicians should have last name first, like [[Category:Mathematicians|Zeitz, Paul]]
