Edit in the big <math>45^2</math>: I am mainly writing this for carnage students who are planning to try out for the MATHCOUNTS club. If you are reading this you already have a pretty good shot, some of my friends with no comp math experience(given they were in math 3 though) got in. All I did was read volume 1 and got 7th my first year. I also recommend doing MATHCOUNTS trainer(although it is quite buggy) as the questions on the tryout test range from chapter(5-25) level so use chapter on matcounts trainer as well as volume 1. PS the tryout test will not increase linearly in difficulty and you can go from finding the 5th term of a arithmetic series to a hard geo. Therefore my main piece of advice would be skipping around to find the easy problems. The tryout test is 50 random problems(as of <math>45^2</math>) from(I think) past MATHCOUNTS tests since the tryout test is made in OPLET(please do not pay $275 for it).

Carnage Middle School is a North Carolina MathCounts powerhouse, located in Raleigh NC of Triangle Chapter Mathcounts. Ever since the introduction of its 'double math' program, many mathematically talented students around the county have attended this school, and thus, the beginning of the Carnage Mathcounts program.

Edit in the big $45^2$: I am mainly writing this for carnage students who are planning to try out for the MATHCOUNTS club. The tryout test is 50 random problems(as of $45^2$) from(I think) past MATHCOUNTS tests since the tryout test is made in OPLET(please do not pay $275 for it).
