The Chicago ARML team sends several teams each year to compete at the American Regions Mathematics League, a primarily high school mathematics competition.
Chicago ARML team
The Chicago ARML team consists of four groups of approximately 15 high school students. The four groups are:
- Chicago A
- Chicago B
- Chicago C
- Chicago JV Team (open to freshmen and sophomores new to ARML)
- Chicago X A5
Chicago ARML holds a 24 question tryout every year, with the top 30 scorers forming the A/B teams. 30 additional students are selected to form the C/D teams.
The team competes annually at Iowa City site. Chicago ARML has a yearly frisbee game on-site against Minnesota ARML.

The 2024 Chicago ARML A team was ranked 9th nationally.
The 2023 Chicago ARML A team was ranked 7th nationally.
The 2010 Chicago ARML A team was ranked 15th nationally. The total individual score was a 61 (an average of 4.07/10 per person).
