Skew lines

Two lines in space are said to be skew if they do not lie in the same plane. For instance, the lines $x = y = 0$ and $y = z = 1$ are skew.

In $n$-dimensonal space for $n \geq 3$ two different lines may intersect, be parallel or be skew.
